Sofía is a self-motivated, result driven, creative professional with the ability to decode messages, concepts and abstract ideas and turn them into artistic imagery. Involved in important projects since early in her career, she had the opportunity to contribute into movie making process of several highly acclaimed films such as “Sumas y Restas” from director Victor Gaviria and “Manos Sucias” from director Josef Kubota Wladyka. She currently works in audio-visual cinematographic projects and publicity as a production designer and an art director in the United States, Mexico and South America.

Her studies began at Universidad Externado de Colombia, starting with Social Communications and Journalism with emphasis in film making production (2007). Continuing with a Master degree in Arts + Artistic Direction in Madrid, Spain, at Escuela Universitaria de Artes TAI (2011).

By her efforts in Production Design with the feature film “Manos Sucias”, Sofía is nominated by the first time at the Macondo Awards of Colombian Film Academy, edition 2014.
