Bogotá, 1996. The population is frightened: the devil will arrive during an imminent lunar eclipse. Mila, 13 years old, feels the gaze of others on her becoming more oppressive. She wonders if the metamorphosis of her body has anything to do with this prophecy. The dreaded day arrives, the red moon lights up the sky.
This intriguing story is that of Mi bestia, the first feature film by director Camila Beltrán, which has been selected forAcid 2024. Acid is a parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival that highlights unique French and international works by emerging independent filmmakers.
